It looks like Nokia is working very hard to make its customers happy. Windows phone update 7.8 has been made available to the entire Lumia series running windows phone 7.5. The same can be downloaded using navifirm.
Microsoft had stated that all the Windows phone 7.5 devices will be updated to WP 7.8 in the first quarter of 2013. It seems that someone in Nokia got excited and made the updates available to the public even before the end of 2012.
The features which have been added to the Nokia Lumia series with this Windows Phone update are:
- Resizable Live Tiles
- New boot screen
- Extra Accent colors
- New Xbox, Office, and Store icons
- Nokia tune remix ringtone
- Contact transfer
- App highlights
- New tweaked animations
- 24 lock screen backgrounds
- Option to set Google as default search in IE
Well, you have your much awaited windows phone update. But beware! There is no word from either Microsoft or Nokia about these updates. So, if you flash your phone with these updates then you are on your own.
