Swipe launches 5 inch smartphone: Swipe Fablet F1

Swipe Telecom is a Pune-based technology company that produced range of tablets. Now they enter into Smartphones section. Their first smartphone launched with the tag as Swipe Fablet F1. Well, the name Fablet homonym to the word “Phablet” that defines the larger smartphones. Swipe Fablet F1 could actually be called a Phablet as it falls into 5 inch smartphones segment.

The Swipe Fablet F1 houses 1 GHz single core MTK6575 processor. This could be disappointing at the first pass as smartphone nowadays are built up with dual core processors. Some dual-core phones could be named- Micromax A110, Micromax A90S & Karbonn A21. Swipe Fablet F1 has 512MB RAM. It has an internal memory of 4GB & micro SD slot to support external memory up to 32GB.

The design of Swipe Fablet F1 looks pretty decent. First look at it reminds you of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. It has a Flip cover much similar to the Note II. Also, it is available in the white color. The front would have 3 buttons at the base, below the screen. Above the screen, you can find a 0.3MP secondary camera along with earpiece & proximity sensors. The back carries company logo near the bottom & speaker at a corner. It has 5MP camera at RHS on the back with a Flash.

Swipe Fablet F1 is a dual SIM smartphone. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 5 inch WVGA Capacitive Touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800. The phone weighs around 120 grams. The company provides an extra battery with the phablet. It has 2500mAh battery (one spare) which looks satisfying with numbers.

This phablet also consists of some standard features like 3G, Wi-Fi enabled, GPS, Bluetooth, USB connectivity & FM Radio. It will also have a number of in built apps like Social Apps, Entertainment Apps & some Games.

Swipe Fablet F1 is priced to be at Rs. 9,000. The company offers Flip Cover & a spare battery to make it a strong competitor against the flagship models of Micromax & Karbonn.
