The Pebble smart watch was among the best gadgets that appeared in the CES 2013. This Pebble watch was a massive success story back in the 2012. The Pebble watch is funded by Kickstarter and will begin to fulfil thousands of its pre-orders starting from Jan 23, 2013.
Note that the Pebble smart watch has close to 85,000 pre-orders which will apparently take six-eight weeks fulfilling them at the rate of 15,000 pebbles a week.
The Pebble Smart watch is slim, quite attractive, offers a sharp display and weighs only 38 gm. This watch is powered with a Bluetooth 4.0 EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), an accelerometer, e-paper display. The waterproof feature will help you play your favourite track while having a shower bath.
It has a scratch resistant lens and offers a battery life of 7 days. Like the other gadgets it can also be charged via USB. Pebble smart watch looks quite basic but it connects with iOS and Android devices. It boasts of an e-paper screen with display resolution of 144 x 168 pixels which is much better than the Metawatch.
This smart watch can receive notifications for text, emails and calls. It can also be customized with downloadable apps and can be used while cycling to track distance, speed, pace and location via GPS system.
The watch costs around $150 and will be available in Jet Black, Cherry Red, Grey, Orange and Arctic White.
