Micromax led tv’s: good range at insane prices

Now I know the title seems like an advertisement for micromax led tv’s. But they have done something incredible, again. Before it was the A110 phablet. And now Micromax has taken the game a level higher by launching a range of led tv’s at really good prices.

The TV’s start from 24″ and go upto 55″. Now with micromax, a price advantage is expected. They have to provide a better set of features to beat established competitors (read samsung). But what really excites us at Whaat is the top of the line 55″ smart led tv – LED T770K55F. Also, someone needs to tell these tv makers to stop naming their models like aircraft carrier radar systems.

The top of the range model has some really interesting features. To list them down:

• RJ45 Ethernet port ( LAN port in simpler terms )
• Internal WiFi
• IPTV
• Micromax Apps – this one is really interesting
• Opera, youtube, facebook, twitter,vimeo

Now the rest is alright. But the last two points are really interesting. Micromax apps is something surprisingly new. We hope it is not just some random set, but an actual platform that allows for using your tv in newer ways. And with opera, youtube etc (given they work well) connectivity is abundant. What is left to see is how good they can make the experience. Remotes of smart tv’s basically suck. They end up being too cumbersome to be easy to use. Lets hope this turns out to be an exception.

All in all, we are excited to get our hands on these devices for proper in depth reviews. Lets hope micromax has hit another home run with this new segment they are entering into.
