Micromax A110 Canvas 2 Superfone- Phablet!!, loading...
Micromax launches 2nd phone in its Phablet series. After the infamous Micromax A100 Canvas, now its “Micromax A110 Canvas 2″. But this time it is a Dual core phone. The phone looks excellent on paper just like a better version of Micromax A100. Micromax launches pre-bookings of A110 this week. Also, they gave out an offer to those who pre-book this Phablet. The offer gives 15 passes for Enrique’s Live Concert in 3 Cities in INDIA for pre-booking customers (link). I guess their marketing team was in a hurry to promote the product at this event.
Micromax A110 has a huge 5-inch Capacitive touchscreen with In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology. This IPS panel gives a better viewing angle & better touch response. It has resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The design of A110 seems to be cool. It will be a dual SIM phone, both SIMs being GSM.
Micromax A110 is built up with 1GHz Dual Core processor compared to single core processor of Micromax A100. Not sure, but it may have Adreno 200 GPU. It is built up to support Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will have internal memory of 4GB along with microSD slot for memory card up to 32GB. The RAM size is yet to be confirmed. According to the specs, I feel RAM should be atleast 1GB as compared to 512MB of A100. If not then 512MB RAM would be useless on such a dual-core device.
It will have 8MP rear camera as compared to 5MP for A100, alongwith LED flash. Its 0.3MP front camera will help in making video calls. I believe A110 should have HD recording feature. Also, Micromax A110 has 2000mAh Li-Ion battery. This juice should last your phone upto 5 hours at one charge. You can’t expect more at this price.
Other features include Wi-Fi, 3G, USB, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, etc. No news from Micromax about including HDMI port in any of its devices. It should have standard inbuilt apps. This phablet is rumored to be priced at Rs. 12,000. Though, we’ll have to wait for some more days to know the exact figures.

I am planning to buy Micromax A110. Thankyou for all the information regarding these phones. I have a 7″ freelander 3g dual sim tab with 1ghz CPU+ 1 GHZ RAM. It runs on MTK6575 Telechip. I am not able to run 720p resolution videos(even low resolution HD videos) properly. It staggers a lot and the voice and video goes out of sync.This happens with all the leading players from MX player to dice player etc etc.Later i came to know that Telechips are for internet 3g phones and not for graphic medias.Now the question is Micromax A110 runs on MTK 6577, Will it have the same problem? Does it run 1080p videos thru any app(preferably MX player) properly without any stagger?.If you can do a test for the same, it would be helpfull for me. THANKS

Micromax A110 plays at max 720p videos well….useless to play 1080p or so….

I tried to play 720p hd videos on my micromax a110 but was not able to play it. I was getting only the sound but was not able to see the video. Please suggest me how can I play 720p videos and which player should I use.
