Karbonn A9+ launched with the famous dual-core multi-tasking phone Karbonn A21 around the “Karbonn Smart Champions League T20” in October 2012. But it was not promoted by the TV Ads as done extensively for A21. I still didn’t understand why it was named as Karbonn A9 “PLUS”, though it is not much closer to Karbonn A9 (technically). We can say it is much similar to its sibling Karbonn A21. Though we’ll understand its features much better in Karbonn A9+ Review; let us have a glance on its available features.
The dual-SIM Karbonn A9+ is built with a dual-core processor similar to that in A21. It is 1.2GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor. It is supported with 512MB RAM which is standard for all Karbonn high-end Smartphones. But as I specified earlier {link} this much RAM is never sufficient for a better multi-tasking phone. It has internal memory of 2.5GB alongwith external memory of 32GB using SD slot. It is built to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Karbonn A9+ has 4inch Capacitive IPS display touchscreen with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Neither A9, nor A21 has IPS display. Only Karbonn A18 {review} has such IPS display. It supports multi-touch feature. Karbonn A9+ has dual camera. Rear camera being 5MP & front camera is 1.3MP good for video calling. It has 1420mAh Li-Ion battery, much less compared to A21. This would give a talktime up to 6 hours.
It supports other standard features like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GPS & micro USB. Also, Karbonn A9+ would be filled up with the standard apps like Facebook, Google Play Store, YouTube, etc. This phone is available at a price of around Rs. 9,500. Though we’ll have to wait & see if it catches up with A21’s market.
